Women’s day at The Positive Thinking Company | Anissa Lalaoui

“I have developed into a sales manager who knows the do and don’ts. This comes with high responsibilities, developed sales, coaching and management skills within the information technology industry. “

Could you introduce yourself and tell us about your professional background?

I am 31 years old. I have a multicultural and multilingual background. I’m also a mother of a little girl, who will turn 2 in June.

While going through life with a dynamic and positive attitude, I always try to bring out the best in me and reach the next milestones.

I think that this has been reflected in my professional career. 8 years ago, I started as a freshly graduate within the Positive Thinking Company ecosystem. I was appointed as junior sales and had great ambitions.

I managed to successfully grow and continued to evolve during my career.

In the meantime I have developed into a sales manager who knows the do and don’ts. This comes with high responsibilities, developed sales, coaching and management skills within the information technology industry.

I still feel the hunger to learn more and I know there is always more in me to give. The expectations I have for myself are high which makes me confident about the future.

Today, being part of the leaders of this new company has been a great achievement, but the journey is still long as there are still many things to do and develop.

The road is filled with ups and down just as much as difficult moments, but that’s part of the game, otherwise it wouldn’t be fun obviously.

From a personal point of view, the challenge remains to find a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Can you tell us about a defining moment in your career at PTC?

After 6 years of business development (acquisition of an important client portfolio and capacity to manage a team of sales) I have been given the opportunity, by our management, to start a brand new entity within a group and this from scratchRedcactus.

This comes with many possibilities while keeping in mind that we are a start-up within an ecosystem with all the necessary support it involves and that is very nice: it gives you a lot of opportunities.

When I look back on the past years and everything we’ve already accomplished it gives me great satisfaction.

So far it has been a great journey and I’m very confident for what’s coming next as cyber security and cloud security are the future.

How would you define the corporate culture at PTC?

In one word, vibrant! We have a rather flat organization, which makes it easy to work efficiently. Teams are driven by leaders that allow people to bring out the best in each and every one of them.

It’s a diverse and multicultural organization with a dynamic work environment, where the eco-system allows all of us to collaboratethe optimization of sharing knowledge has never been this huge.

Which word would you use to define your vision for 2020?

Value or unique selling proposition because that’s how you make the difference on the market.
